People looking after their own
We The People started with a handful of friends, a list of names and a simple rule: hand the money over yourself, and write down where it went. Years later the list is 179 families long and the rule hasn't changed.

Who we are
We're a volunteer-led initiative based in Pakistan, working across rural districts where formal support rarely reaches. There is no head office between you and the family. The people who collect the money are the people who drive out, sit on the charpai, and hand it over.
Every household on our list was visited before it was added. Every payment is logged against a month and a name, and sponsors can log into the portal and read that ledger themselves.
Our vision
A Pakistan where no family is one illness, one storm or one funeral away from destitution, and where help arrives from within the community rather than being waited on from outside it.
We want giving to feel ordinary and accountable: a small amount, every month, to someone whose name you know.
Four things we refuse to let a family go without
Housing, healthcare, education and a path to earning. Everything we run sits under one of these.
Housing
A house that keeps the rain out and the door shut. We repair what can be saved and rebuild what can't.
Healthcare
Free camps for everyday illness, and direct funding for the surgeries and treatments families can't absorb.
Education
Stipends that keep school fees paid so children aren't pulled out to work when money gets tight.
Economic empowerment
A sewing machine, a cart, a small stock of goods, the one-off cost that turns aid into an income.
